Kate Thoms is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher through Yogatrotter Academy, an International Yoga Alliance-registered school. She is the founder of Hathaletics and Hathaletics Retreats, a physician-supported movement and longevity program dedicated to helping individuals build strength, improve mobility, and maintain an active, healthy lifestyle at every stage of life.
Kate believes that yoga, combined with breathwork, is a powerful tool for supporting lifelong strength, mobility, and overall well-being. Her approach emphasizes strengthening the muscles surrounding the joints, building core stability, improving balance, and incorporating stretching and breathwork to support injury prevention and long-term joint health. She believes movement should be accessible, meaningful, and tailored to each individual, with a commitment to safety, confidence, and helping every body move with greater ease.
With a Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College and an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University, Kate brings together her passions for movement, nutrition, travel, and cultural exploration. Through Hathaletics Retreats, she creates thoughtfully curated experiences that blend daily movement, cuisine, and immersive cultural excursions, offering guests an opportunity to embrace new experiences, and nurture the mind, body, and spirit. Her yearly retreat in Provence, France is a dream adventure for anyone interested in yoga, rest, beauty, and delicious food.
