Brenda De Los Santos is a Puerto Rican yoga teacher, professional photographer, and lifelong New London resident. After practicing yoga on and off for 15 years, she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Yogatrotter Academy in Bali, Indonesia, in February 2026. She is also the founder and lead teacher of Community Yoga New London, an initiative dedicated to making yoga more accessible, inclusive and welcoming to Black and Brown community members, people in bigger bodies, beginners, and anyone who has ever felt like yoga spaces were not created with them in mind.
Brenda’s passion for accessible, inclusive teaching comes from her own experiences in yoga spaces, where she often found herself as one of the only people who looked like her. She believes that everyone deserves to experience the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga without feeling that they need to look, move, or practice a certain way to belong.
Her teaching style is welcoming, down-to-earth, and rooted in the belief that yoga should meet people where they are. She offers options for both mat and chair-based movement and encourages students to explore what feels right in their own bodies over achieving the “perfect” pose.
Above all, Brenda hopes students leave her classes feeling empowered, supported, and more connected to themselves and their community. Her philosophy is simple: Yoga is for everybody and every body.
