WORKSHOP | Omamari-Inspired Charm Making and Meditation with Lisa

Omamori are Japanese good luck charms which may have different meanings–happiness, protection from evil, good fortune, and success, good health, prosperity or even something specific such as passing exams, traffic safety, and safe childbirth. They are typically made from brocade and sold at shrines. We will be using colorful envelopes, origami paper and a wide array of other materials to create our charms. You can make one for yourself and one for someone for whom you have special wishes. The charm can incorporate a ribbon or other strap to hang wherever you want luck to follow.
