Join us for Yoga Book Club!
NOTE: This month, we’re taking a field trip! We’ll visit Julia at Red 36 in Mystic for May’s book club. Book club this month is free, and you can purchase meals, drinks, etc. at Red 36. Please sign up at least 1 week in advance so we can make our reservation.
This discussion-based group fosters spiritual growth and inquiry as we explore a variety of transformational books on yoga, spirituality, philosophy, and everything in between.
This month, we’ll be reading “See No Stranger” by Valarie Kaur, a book that blends personal narrative with a call to action, defining “revolutionary love” as a practice of wonder and connection to overcome hate and injustice. It chronicles Kaur’s journey as a Sikh-American activist, lawyer, and filmmaker, detailing her experiences with racism and violence and offering a framework for transforming conflict through empathy and active love.
Our intention is to come together to reflect, grow, and cultivate community. There are no rules, no quizzes, and no judgments—and it’s always okay if you didn’t finish the book! The books are simply a launching pad for meaningful conversation and connection.
We decide as a group what to read next, so suggestions are always welcome and encouraged.
Hope to see you soon — happy reading! 📖✨
